Dave The Dino Slayer, Chapter 2

You can start seeing some major themes of the novel popping up, if you missed Chapter 1 re-read it here. As if you didn’t know, this story was penned by the great Double X.

Chapter 2

Dave truly hated cold pie, and he made this very apparent to the second dinosaur of the morning, a vicious Garudimimus that strayed from its flock.

‘Poor beast’ Dave thought to himself, taking a bite of his pie, which had cooled but was still warm enough for him to enjoy. ‘Didn’t know what it was getting itself into.’

Dave thought about the second fight, regretting the brutality he exhibited.

‘It’s only pie’ he frowned.  ‘Not even very good.  Not like Beth used to make.’ He took another bite and pushed the rest away. ‘Too cold now’.

The rest of the morning consisted of the usual routine of 1000 pushups and 2000 crunches.  He stood up and looked at his glistening abs in the mirror.

“Not bad,” he said, unable to keep himself from saying it out loud.

It was a relatively slow morning for Dave, who had only fought two dinosaurs so far, and so he decided to continue his workout with some combat training.

He started by exploding boulders with some super awesome karate kicks. He then used the fragments to create a lovely rock wall around his property.

Next he chopped firewood using only his fists and the occasional headbutt.

As much as Dave worked out, he couldn’t clear his mind.  His head was filled with memories, most of which were about Beth.  He decided a bath in the local oasis would help.

It did.

Soon enough, bathing naked cave babes surrounded Dave. It was totally awesome.

“We totally want to do you hard,” they were all saying to him. Dave was happy to oblige, but as he was about to leave with four babes, another woman caught his eye.  The most beautiful cave babe he’d ever laid his eyes on.  He stared at her, but was unable to catch her eye.

Not used to receiving no attention from babes, Dave frowned and continued back to his cave with his four babes.
